August 25, 2008
This summer we’ve hosted three interns who are pursuing their masters degrees in business. Lindsay Clark developed a plan for our new furniture refurbishing business.
Lindsay Clark (left), an MBA candidate at the Presidio School of Management, is developing an integrated plan to maximize the value of Goodwill’s furniture donations (through repair, refurbishing and recycling) while minimizing Goodwill’s landfill costs and environmental footprint.
Anna Coldham (middle), an MBA candidate at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor, is drafting a project plan for Goodwill’s long- and short-term facilities needs, a real estate decision-making framework that reflects the organization’s triple bottom line, as well as a new store opening manual, and a model and business plan for the E-Commerce division.
Jennifer Cohn (right), an MBA candidate at the Presidio School of Management, is working in the Goodwill Marketing Department. She is developing a customer and donor engagement plan by analyzing revenue potential for various incentive programs. The plan will have an important impact as Goodwill grows its commercial enterprises which support the organizational mission.
