“SUMMER DREAMING” SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES
No Purchase or Donation Necessary to Enter or Win. A purchase or donation will not increase your chances of winning. The “SUMMER DREAMING” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins April 1, 2008 and ends May 15, 2008 at 5p.m. PST (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Sweepstakes is sponsored by Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties, located at 1500 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94103. (“Sponsor”).
ELIGIBILITY
Sweepstakes is open to California residents 18 or older at the time of entry (“Entrants”). Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor and their immediate family members and those living in their household are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER
During the Sweepstakes Period, bring a computer donation to any participating Goodwill store or donation site (“Site”) and fill out the required State of California computer recycling form (if required for monitor donation) and complete entry on the Goodwill “Summer Dreaming Entry Form”. A donation is not required to enter Sweepstakes and some donations may not be accepted, at Sponsor’s discretion.
LIMIT EIGHT ENTRIES PER ENTRANT
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify false entries or entries suspected of being false. Only completed valid entries will be accepted. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries, in the sole discretion of Sponsor will be disqualified. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor, and will not be acknowledged or returned.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF SELECTED ENTRANT(S)
Each entrant who submits a valid entry will be entered into the random drawing(s) for the Prizes. Random drawing(s) will be conducted by a representative of Sponsor on or about June 10th, 2008 to select two (2) Grand Prize Selected Entrant. The Selected Entrant(s) will be notified by phone and/or e-mail using the information provided on the original entry form. Each Selected Entrant may also be sent an affidavit of eligibility / liability / publicity release (“Release”). Selected Entrant(s) must provide all information requested to be eligible to win. Unless restricted by law, each Selected Entrant will be required to complete and return the Release within within fourteen (14) days of prize notification. The prize may be forfeited and, in such case, an alternate Selected Entrant(s) may be randomly selected from among the remaining eligible entries if Selected Entrant(s): (i) cannot be reached; (ii) fails to obtain all signatures on the Release and to return the documents in a timely manner as required pursuant to these Official Rules; or (iii) cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason.
PRIZES
One prize packages (“prize package”) each will be given separately to two different individual, eligible entrants. Each prize package includes: 2 tickets to each game of the San Francisco Giants vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers July 4th, 5th, and 6th, pregame meals for 2, 3 nights accommodations at Hotel Union Square, a tour not to exceed 10 minutes to the KNBR broadcast booth. Total prize package is of unknown retail value.
The prize sales tax, federal, state, and local income taxes associated with the prize, as well as any costs not otherwise outlined here are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Selected Entrant. Grand Prize Selected Entrant must claim the prize package at Sponsor’s address and must take delivery of the prize package chosen by Sponsor. Any discrepancy between retail value of the prize and average retail value listed in these official rules is not redeemable for cash. Sponsor and all involved entities are not responsible in any manner for any warranties, representations, or guarantees, express or implied, in fact or law, relating to the prize package, including but not limited to weather, game rescheduling, satisfaction with any part of the prize package. Selected Entrant must take delivery of the prize package within 90 days of winning.
No substitution, transfer, or cash redemption of prizes, provided however that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable for any reason.
ODDS
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
CONDITIONS
Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, entrants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, Selected Entrant agrees to release Sponsor, any promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Sweepstakes, (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities. Releasees reserve the right to use the Sweepstakes for publicity purposes in any media, and to use the name, likeness, and hometown name and/or prize information of Selected entrant as part of that publicity, without any compensation or prior review unless prohibited by law. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of Selected Entrant and Selected Entrant will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the Estimated Retail Value of any awarded prize. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or violating these Official Rules, and reserves the right to cancel the Sweepstakes should it suspect fraud or for reasons out of the control of Sponsor. Disputes regarding these Official Rules and/or this Sweepstakes will be governed by the internal laws of the State of California.
