The mission of the HEC is to provide a continuum of work-readiness preparation; classroom and on-the-job training; job placement and retention services for homeless individuals and families with multiple special needs or backgrounds throughout San Francisco. The emphasis is on services that are accessible and inviting and that are customized enough to accommodate such diverse barriers as multiple disabilities, poor employment histories, extensive criminal backgrounds, homelessness and limited support system.
