Goodwill Industries offers three types of services in this six-to-twleve month program: employment preparation, job placement and job retention.
During the employment preparation stage, we help participants become more competent and confident in the current competitive job market by providing them with services such as skills assessment, career exploration and resume development. We also teach them how to properly fill out job applications, conduct a thorough job search, successfully apply for jobs, and effectively interview for employment.
During the job placement stage, participants receive help applying for jobs, connecting with employers, marketing their skills and, ultimately, securing employment. Following their employment, we offer 90-day retention services.
During this stage we work closely with both employers and participants to address employment barriers and create a sustainable work environment.
