It’s time to take your jeans off – for Levi Strauss & Co. and Goodwill ® Industries.
From April 24-May 1, Goodwill Industries International is teaming up with Levi Strauss & Co. to host a denim drive in 20 Levi Brand Retail stores nationwide. In this newly stitched partnership, participating Levi Brand Retail stores will be offering customers like you 20 percent off a pair of Levi’s® jeans.
Exchange your jeans at:
The Levi's Store at Union Square
300 Post Street
San Francisco, CA 94108
The catch? Levi’s needs your gently used jeans, denim jackets, skirts or shirts in return. All donations will be given to local Goodwills for sale in their stores. The proceeds provide job training and other services for Goodwill program participants to help them reach their career goals.
"When you clean out your closet for Goodwill®, you are investing in your community by supporting employment programs that benefit people who want to work but need Goodwill’s help to find a job,” says Jim Gibbons, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries International. “And at the same time, thanks to Levi’s, you are benefiting from great savings on new Levi’s® jeans.”
And that’s not all. On May 1 – in conjunction with Levi Strauss’ 501 Day – retail staff from Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties, Inc. will take part in a job shadowing and training event held at Levi Brand Retail’s flagship store in San Francisco. The Goodwill staff can then take back those lessons learned and apply them to their day-to-day work.
How’s that for goodwill?
